Palisade offers fun for the whole family at the
7th Annual Honeybee Festival!
Friday evening, April 10, come to the reception at the Blue Pig Gallery from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and enjoy gourmet appetizers as The Meadery pours honey wine. Browse art featuring birds, bees and blooms, as well as batik and encaustic works using bees wax in the process.
Dan Bean will be on hand from the Palisade Insectary to answer all your questions about bees and he will have some beneficial insects on hand as well, for show and tell! The kids will love it and so will you!
On Saturday, bring the kids to town for lots of exciting events, including a spelling bee, bee costume contest, face painting and sidewalk chalk art they can create themselves. Wonderful vendors will line the streets and you’ll find delicious
food offerings at local restaurants and food trucks.
There’s something for every taste!

I have been a lifelong rider and horse lover. I got my first "horse" at a yard sale; it was a pony actually. It was sometime in the early 60's. I was in 3rd or 4th grade. The pony was perhaps $10. My sister, brother, and I pooled our money and led him home. At the time my parents were traveling, and my Uncle Bill promptly made us return it. (stay tuned...more to come...)
